Jerusalem’s police on Wednesday night arrested three Arab residents of Jerusalem on suspicion that they fired a weapon and were involved in an assault incident.

Police were alerted to the neighborhood of Beit Haninah after receiving reports of shooting in the area. A short investigation led to their apprehension of a suspect in the shooting.

Using a detection dog, the police uncovered the improvised weapon that was hidden nearby.

Two other suspects, the shooter’s family members, were arrested for their involvement in the shooting and assault.

The three suspects, in their 30, were taken for questioning.

Also on Wednesday, a Palestinian terrorist threw a pipe bomb at IDF forces operating near the Palestinian village of Yabed, in Samaria. No Israelis were injured in the attack, and the forces launched a search for the terrorist.

In related news, Israeli forces carrying out counter-terrorism operation in Judea and Samaria on Wednesday arrested eight Palestinians suspected of connections to terrorism.
