The scene where a ballistic missile fired from Iran hit and caused damage in Be'er Sheva, Southern Israel, June 24, 2025.

More than 15,000 Israelis have been left homeless since the start of Israel’s war with Iran, Operation Rising Lion, with the precise final numbers as yet unclear.

At least 100 of the newly-homeless were bereft following a lethal ballistic missile attack on Be’er Sheva launched by Iran in the final hours before a bilateral ceasefire imposed by President Donald Trump went into effect. Four people were murdered in that attack.

Israeli and US aerial defense systems intercepted hundreds of ballistic missiles and suicide drones fired by the Islamic Republic of Iran in 12 days of the war.

Since the beginning of Operation Rising Lion, the Iranian terror regime has launched some 550 ballistic missiles and more than 1,000 military UAVs at Israel’s towns and villages and population centers.

Iran also fired three ballistic missiles in two separate attacks after the White House-imposed bilateral ceasefire went into effect Tuesday morning. All were intercepted.

About 30 missiles and a handful of suicide drones managed to evade Israeli defenses, with catastrophic results. The Israeli Air Force intercepted approximately 85 percent of the missiles that were headed toward populated areas.

At least 28 people were murdered in the Iranian attacks during the 12 day-long war; 1,446 more were wounded, including 18 seriously.

Equally devastating, 15,000 people have been evacuated from homes damaged in the attacks.
