Anti-Semitic Attack on Student in Southwestern Germany

A 19-year-old Jewish student was attacked Tuesday night in Germany by a man working out at a gym in southwestern Germany.

The attacker, a gymnast in the town of Freiburg, took the student’s kipa from his head and threw it in the trash, shouting at him “Dirty Jew!” and “Get out of here, stinky Jew!”

Freiburg Police have launched an investigation into the case, according to Antonia Yamin, a reporter with Israel’s Kann public broadcasting network.
