Syrian state television reported late Thursday night that three regime soldiers were wounded in an attack on Syrian military positions near the town of Quneitra in the Golan Heights.

Combat helicopters fired missiles at military positions in the towns of Qataniyah and Al-Hurriyet in Quneitra province, according to SANA. A number of the sites reportedly belong to the Iranian-backed Lebanese Hezbollah terrorist organization.

A SANA correspondent in Quneitra reported “Israeli occupation helicopters attacked with rockets from the occupied Golan at army points in Qahtaniya and Al-Hurriyah and the liberated city of Quneitra, causing three injuries to soldiers.”

The news followed reports of a targeted assassination earlier in the day carried out in a drone attack on Imad Al Tawil, a local Hezbollah operative allegedly responsible for Iranian infrastructure in Syria, according to Hebrew-language media.

Both strikes were blamed on the Israeli Air Force. SANA reported earlier in the day, “A civilian was martyred when his car was targeted by a drone belonging to the Israeli enemy south of the town of Hader.”
