UN observers look into Syria from the safety of the Israeli side of the Golan Heights. May 10, 2018

Syrian state media claimed late Monday night that Israeli artillery attacked multiple targets in Quneitra province in the southern part of the country.

Positions belonging to the regime of President Bashar al-Assad and the Iranian-backed Hezbollah terrorist group were targeted.

Among the sites that was struck were an observatory in Jubatha al-Khashab, al-Ma’laqa, Tel a-Diriya and a previously destroyed hospital in the city of Quneitra, along with a Syrian army post and an army garrison in the city, SANA reported.

It was the first shelling on regime positions along the Golan Heights since mid-2018.
