Rockets fired from Gaza into Israel as seen from Sderot, 2014

Jewish families in the southern Israeli city of Sderot once again had their peaceful Sabbath evening disrupted, and their children’s sleep destroyed this past Friday when Arab terrorists launched another rocket attack from Gaza.

Red Alert incoming rocket warning sirens activated in three communities – Sderot, Ibim and Kibbutz Or HaNer – but it was in Sderot that at least one rocket exploded, igniting a large fire in an “open area” of the city.

The IDF said a total of five projectiles that were launched managed to cross the border into Israeli territory. It’s not clear where the other four rockets landed, and the IDF made no reference to their landing sites.

Two women in Sderot were treated for trauma-related shock following the attack.
