Two Israelis from the Jewish community of Ofakim were wounded Saturday after visiting a dentist located in the Arab town of Azzoun, located in Area B.

It is an area which Israeli citizens are publicly warned not to enter.

The victims, a 17-year-old boy and his 60-year-old father, were approached by a teenage resident of the town, who asked them if they were Jewish. When they said “yes,” the young terrorist stabbed them both.

The father was stabbed in the arm; his son was stabbed in the upper body and was more seriously wounded.

“An initial inquiry regarding the stabbing incident which took place in Azzoun earlier today . . . indicates that the incident was a terror attack,” the IDF said in a statement.

Israeli military forces were summoned by nearby residents. They administered first aid to the pair, brought them to the nearest security checkpoint and transferred them to emergency medical response teams from Magen David Adom (MDA), near the Eliyahu Crossing.

“MDA medics and paramedics provided medical treatment to two injured people, including a 17-year-old boy in serious condition and a 60-year-old in good condition,” said a spokesperson for MDA. “The injured were transported by MDA teams to Meir Medical Center in Kfar Saba.”

In an interview with Israel’s Kan public broadcasting network, the father later said, “For a year now I have been coming to this dentist for treatment and everything was fine. I never thought something like this would happen. The dentist helped us; he jumped on [the attacker] and held him against the wall and hit him while we escaped.”

IDF security personnel are operating in the area to track down the 15-year-old stabber; Palestinian Authority sources told i24TV the IDF has arrested his father.

Palestinian Authority children and teens are trained to hate Israelis and to become terrorists almost from birth via government-sponsored mass media and subsequently via foreign-aid funded textbooks in their school classrooms. They are taught nothing about coexistence, nor about peace with Israel.
