Shrapnel from an Iron Dome interception over Netivot

A number of residents in the central Negev town of Netivot were taken to the hospital late Tuesday night after a rocket exploded and the Iron Dome anti-missile defense system intercepted another overhead.

The interception resulted in a large explosion and pieces of shrapnel falling from the sky on to a sports facility in the town, as well as several other structures which sustained some damage in the process.
