A 70-year-old woman was injured Wednesday afternoon when a rocket launched by Gaza terrorists landed directly on a home in the southern Israeli coastal city of Ashkelon. The home was part of a resort complex in the city. A second person was also injured in the rocket fire.

“When we arrived we saw a woman about 70 walking around fully conscious,” said emergency MDA medic Dvir Baribo. “There was a lot of glass that had shattered.

“She suffered minor injuries to the limbs and face,” Baribo went on. “We provided her with initial medical treatment, bandaging and stopping the bleeding, and then evacuated her in stable condition to Barzilai Medical Center” in Ashkelon, he added.

More than 350 rockets, missiles and mortars were launched at Israel by Gaza terrorists since Tuesday morning; at least 80 were intercepted by the Iron Dome anti-missile aerial defense system fighters.
