Popular culture, the media and politics becomes one. A great white noise machine of light and sound, carnival lights, smells and sounds, men throwing flaming torches in the air, shouts and cries, rap stars, memes, ladies of the evening, stars, banners, slogans, cheers and anything else that will keep the fools from realizing that the time is five minutes after five and the time is coming for the scammers to slink away into the night with their ill gotten loot and for the suckers who thought they were scammers and the marks who thought they were cons to clutch their carbon offsets and food stamps and raise their eyes dazedly as the sunrise exposes the tawdriness of the carnival, the false front stalls, the empty baskets and the last drabs of greasepaint on their hands.
And then Carny Nation will end.

A bit over the top but nevertheless, Mr. Greenfield's frustration and distress is plaintive and indicative of what many are feeling after the debacle of Nov. 6th.
The Democrats do require a dumbed down electorate, have been assiduously working toward that goal for decades and the solution will take much more than adjusting the conservative message. There was nothing wrong with the conservative message. There is something drastically wrong with the ability of the average American voter to discern fact from hype, journalistic integrity from blatant bias and to make accurate assessments of character.
To any patriotic American paying attention it's been obvious since Obama first emerged as a serious contender for the presidency that there was very little known about him. He was a good looking, well dressed, well educated, and very accomplished orator. He was also interracial from a white mother and black father, a factor whose historical significance was not lost on a society perpetually guilt ridden with regard to racial inequality. But much of his background and personal history was then and remains to this day, a secret or surrounded by unproven, unanswered, suspicious allegations and those he was most closely associated with, some considered his mentors, the Reverend Wright, Edward Said, Rashid Khalidi, Bill Ayers, Bernadine Dohrn, Frank Marshall Davis, etc. were a collection of people with pro communist, radical anti-American, anti-Israeli sentiments.
After four or five years in the public spotlight ask the typical man or woman on the American street about any of this and be met with a smile, a blank stare or a curt, dismissive opinion about a dark place where your head might be at. No, remessaging is putting a bandaid on a hemorrhaging artery. America is unaware that it is bleeding to death. How to make it aware? How to get past all the firmly entrenched, anti-capitalist, anti American, anti-wealthy, anti-Wall Street, anti-conservative attitudes cast like concrete in the minds of those who could vote to give this President four more years; to do what?
Einstein's definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over, expecting a different result. By that definition a little over half the electorate is insane.
DONALD…your spot on, and you said everything(Even EINSTEIN would be astonished…….by the current state of affairs!) The dumb and dumber crowd…THE MORON MAJORITY has spoken(a continuing loss for AMERIKA's MORAL MAJORITY.)…. and it's NOT good…(and the EMPIRE continues on it's FiSCAL and SOCIAL decline!)
OH right, GREENFIELD, BUSH and CO never LIED to the whole world about non-existant WMD's in IRAQ, causing hundreds of thousands of deaths of IRAQI and AFGHANI innocent civilians while devastating their infrastructures. What a HYPOCRITE you are. And what about the lies BUSH and CO spewed about "we don't torture"? What about secret renditions and ILLEGAL MASS DOMESTIC SPYING programs? Are you missing half a brain or more? THERE IS NO TWO PART SYSTEM in the USA—it's all a fake democracy, secretly ruled by a despotic rich elite, under cover of the so-called "Nat'l Security State". Do your homework.
Moshiach…. are you one of the "dumb ones" who voted in the NIGERIAN PRINCE, for a 2nd term? Hashem runs the world….remember!
