Shortly after the bombs exploded at the Boston Marathon, the Arabs of Gaza danced in the streets, handing out candies to passersby, Israel News Agency reported.

Mohammad al-Chalabi, head of a Jordanian Salafi group, said on Tuesday that he was “happy to see the horror in America’ after the explosions in Boston,” the Daily Mail reported. “American blood isn’t more precious than Muslim blood,” al-Chalabi added. “Let the Americans feel the pain we endured by their armies occupying Iraq and Afghanistan and killing our people there,”

According to the Christian Science Monitor, Somalia’s Al Shabaab mocked the blast victims on its official Twitter feed, and used the attack as an opportunity to criticize U.S. policy. “The #BostonBombings are just a tiny fraction of what US soldiers inflict upon millions of innocent Muslims across the globe on a daily basis,” read one tweet.

Pundit Juan Cole noted that Monday bombings and other mass violence also killed dozens of civilians in Syria and Iraq. The world is stitched together, he wrote, by the common human experiences of sorrow and grief that follow such tragedies.

Al Jazeera’s Khaled A Beydoun, under the headline “Boston explosions: ‘Please don’t be Arabs or Muslims,’” wrote:

The knots in my stomach tightened with preliminary reports from the New York Post that Boston Police had seized a “Saudi National”. In a media nanosecond, “Muslims” was trending on Twitter, additional news providers corroborated the reports, and the hatemongering ensued.

  1. Sallee IDwedar says:

This story is BS. It was after 10pm in Gaza when the attacks happened in Boston. No dancing no sweets being handed out. Pathietic liar

  2. Joe Catron says:

That's some very odd language in your first sentence. "[T]he Arabs of Gaza"? Like, all of them?

Heading over to the source of the claim, I see that "members of Hamas, Islamic Jihad and Hezbollah were reported to be dancing in the streets of Gaza, handing out candies to passerbys."

Note the weasely passive voice – "were reported" – which neatly absolves the writer of his most important responsibility.

And Hezbollah, a Lebanese organization with no presence in Palestine, managed to slip a dance troupe into Gaza on short notice for the occasion? Yeah, that makes perfect sense. (rolls eyes)

However much low-end hasbara shops pay the people who write this sensationalistic garbage, it's too much.

(Sarcasm and obligatory mocking of talentless, pseudo-journalistic hacks aside, I've seen no public notice taken of the Boston attacks here, one way or the other.)

  3. محمد سعيد says:

no one dance and no one distribute candy in gaza.

This story is truly ****ed up. Stop lying!

  5. Aaron Cohen says:

The Jewish Press lies presumably to stir up anti Palestinian and anti Muslim hatred in the USA.

  6. the same picture and story was published in 2007 http://brucesmideastsoundbites.blogspot.com/2007/09/more-palestinian-joy.html.

seriously, get a life who ever spreading lie!

  11. yes, it must be a hard question for obama now – how long ??

  12. Cody Flecker says:

This type of a bomb that was used to inflict as much damage through loss of life and loss of limb could only be done by an Arab or Muslim group. Nails, and slivers of metal is in their trademark for causing as much pai as possible. Look at the types of explosions that have occurred in Israel, Iraqm and Afghanistan to understand what I am talking about.

  13. Per Olsen says:

The Arabs are just like Fart… ignore em… they do not shower. So they both stink and fart..and never grow up….Loosers… nothing to spend time on So GOD BLESS AMERICA AND ISRAEL.

  14. Per Olsen says:

So what they still stink old sweat and they are still loosers.Depending on the Whole world to changer their dypers…. We find you to be the real loosers ….

  15. Per Olsen says:

:p Ha ha…they Call us liars – so what and throw in a few f bombs to show some anger.Ha ha. It s not possible to take grown up men who act like babies serious.

So sorry…. by the way soap is good.

  16. Grace Acosta says:

The Jewish Press often uses stock images for their articles. You really think that Gaza would let a Jewish reporter in? The picture in this article is CLEARLY labeled "Illustration image." They always do that when they use stock photos. No deception involved, just your inability to read and comprehend basic text.

  17. Shari Peterson says:

Huh that's funny, I've seen this picture before. Also, I have a lot of Palestinian friends on Facebook and they are not cheering at all. I found it interesting when I found out Jewish children dressed up like the WTC towers for Purim, the celebration of the slaughter of 70,000 Iranians using deception.

  18. Shari Peterson says:

I guess America and the WTC are representative of modern day Purim huh? Symbolic beyond symbolic of Satan's children.

  19. Shari Peterson says:

Grace Acosta am I to guess Israel never uses deception and never lies to achieve her goals?

  20. Shari Peterson says:

Her legislators have to – Israel has the goods – and honey pots – to force them to. ;)

  21. Steve Schleder says:

…the Zionists spend millions of US grant dollars publishing anti-Muslim propaganda on Facebook. I see it all the time, but the Jewish Press.com would never tell lies, they are honest, they are different.

  22. MicSweetlaum Laty says:

exactly, i've seen this same pic before as well, during the aurara shootings i think. fkn jews behind it i'm sure!

  23. Shari Peterson says:

Because it definitely serves their interest to do this and that and get invaded and occupied. How many Muslim nations are now being droned, invaded and attacked? Gosh, yep, it sure is working toward their goals.

Meanwhile, who gains from this? ISRAEL.

Cui bono? That is who does it. Always.

Then there is the little reality that Israel's nationals are allowed complete unfettered access to America now thanks to "Muslim Obama" (big eye roll) giving them a free pass around the TSA, so they can bring whatever they want into the country too.

But thank god the Mossad never ever does anything to harm anyone for Israel's ultimate interests. Oh that's right, her interests are OUR INTERESTS.

Just like the attack on the USS Liberty. ;)

The Israel News Agency is a one-man blog, not a true news agency, and that photo was taken by the Associated Press in 2007.

They can't dance and hand out candy after 10pm? The image used is a stock image. It says "Illustration image" right under it.

  29. Barrington Making A Case says:

@Rejoy you have to understand how much of a grip Zionism has on our government & media. Everything passes through & must be approved by the Israeli filter…

  30. wouldn't be the first time pro israeli people have lied and said Palestinians were celebrating an attack on American soil. They paid Palestinians to dance and look happy after 9/11 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UlOS7cyE-h8.
