A Muslim driver was arrested Saturday in Belgium, on suspicion of trying to run over two Jews, a father and son, dressed in Hasidic garb, in the heart of the Jewish community in Antwerp.

The video from security cameras shows how the driver veers sharply from his path in the direction of the two Hasidim, who manage to escape. Seconds after the attempted ramming, the father tried to chase after the car and confront the driver, but to no avail.

Shortly after the incident, the driver was arrested by local police on suspicion of attempted murder.

The police report after the arrest did not mention the driver’s name, nor any other details about his identity, but the media in Belgium noted that he was a Belgian national and a Muslim.

The suspect was drunk at the time of his arrest, so not a very good Muslim.
