Israeli Border Guard Police thwarted a terrorist Wednesday who was aiming to carry out an attack in Jerusalem.

The police stopped the terrorist at the Qalandiya crossing, located on the northern outskirts of the capital.

The would-be attacker, an 18-year-old Arab female, tried initially to make her way through the crossing but was turned away by the Border Guard police.

She soon returned, this time attempting to obtain passage with her little sister’s papers.

Upon being rejected, however, she attacked the Israeli officers and tried to physically force her way through — at which point she was arrested and taken into custody.

During questioning she confessed that she had planning to carry out a terrorist attack in the city of Jerusalem.

An Israel spokesperson pointed out that it is IDF soldiers and Israeli Border Guard and other police who are protecting the city residents with their own bodies, literally as human shields, in preventing terrorists from entering the city by guarding the crossings.
