Electric Workers’ ‘Italian Strike’ Keeps 200,000 Israeli Homes Dark after Storm

The person who may soon become the most hated man in Israel, David (Miko) French, the IEC workers’ committee chairman, told the court: “A group of workers arrived in the morning and were told to go home and come back at night. Why should they do it? They work the day shift, then let them work their day shift.” He also argued: “We didn’t tell workers not to work — only to work their normal hours, according to their schedules.”
