Israelis enjoy the beach in Rishon leZion, May 1 2020

Just as the weather begins to heat up, Israelis are getting ready to go back to the beach.

Interior Minister Aryeh Deri announced Thursday that the nation’s beaches will finally reopen to the public next Wednesday, May 20.

They will be closed until that point in order for public works personnel to be able to clear them and prepare them in accordance with Ministry of Health guidelines.
