Soldiers start asking questions after Arab sniper narrowly misses killing Jewish motorist on Highway 60, south of Jerusalem.

A Palestinian Authority gunman shot bullet holes in the door of the car of a Jewish motorist on Highway 60 near Hebron Thursday, but the driver, Israel Zaeera, escaped injury.

“A tremendous miracle happened here,” he said.

It was the second attempt by Arab terrorists to shoot and kill Jews in two days. As reported here yesterday, an Arab gunman took potshots at Jewish drivers in Samaria, and bullet shells were found in the area. No one was injured.

In both cases, the attackers fled.

The shootings represent a serious escalation in the motivation of “lone wolves” to kill Jews. The IDF is beefing up patrols, but soldiers cannot be on every mile of highways in Judea and Samaria.

Friday morning, a 17-year-old Arab girl was caught with a knife that she was planning to use to stab a security guard at the Patriarchs’ Cave in Hebron.
