Israel Police stopped a suspicious vehicle on the road along Wadi Qana west of the Dead Sea Thursday in routine police operations in the area.

During their search of the vehicle police discovered a Carl Gustav semi-automatic assault rifle hidden beneath the vehicle.

The driver, a Palestinian Authority citizen resident of Bethlehem, was arrested and transferred to security personnel for interrogation.
