"Syrian air defenses shot down Israeli drone that entered the Syrian air space in eastern Damascus C/S"

State-run Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reported late Thursday night “a UAV was successfully intercepted over the town of Aqraba south of Damascus.”

Additional Arab media were more specific, reporting Syria had “shot down an Israeli drone flying above the town of Aqraba in the southern suburbs of Damascus during alleged Israeli airstrikes on Iranian targets.”

There has been no comment from the Israel Defense Forces.

Military analyst Qalaat Al Mudiq likewise reported Syrian air defenses had “blown up a drone” over the town, southeast of Damascus. “Same area was bombed by #Israel 4 weeks ago,” Al Mudiq noted.
