The White House staff on Friday corrected what appears to have been a clerical “error”, based on its long-standing policy of not recognizing any part of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital, when it released a transcript of President Barack Obama’s eulogy for Israel’s late former president, Shimon Peres.

The original location in which the eulogy was delivered, listed at the top of page one, was “Jerusalem, Israel.”

Mind you, Mount Herzl Cemetery is in the western part of the capital.

However, shortly after, the White House rushed to disseminate a corrected version with the country “Israel” crossed out with a single line through it. The correction was first noted by William Daroff, Senior Vice President for Public Policy & Director of the Washington office of The Jewish Federations of North America.

On the current version on the White House website Israel has been deleted.

  1. I’m very happy President Obama and his administration realize now that Jerusalem is the Eternal Capital of not only Israel but of the Universe. They are fortunate to agree that the organization to which we can all cross out with a single line through it is luciferianism – hamas – the nwo –

  2. AS we enter the High Holidays, please kiss your loved ones and tell them how much you love them. Do not, I repeat do not get into disputes about the election. Both candidates are multi-millionaires and billionaires. Obama will make zillions when he is out of office. Do you really think they feel the pain of those who are out of work? Do they empathize with those who have lost their homes and in some cases their families. ? Some serve time in jail because they can not afford expensive lawyers and get away with the most hideous of crimes. How many of us are harassed by bosses can not retaliate or lose jobs because we are too old. ? REMEMBER if you are over 50 good luck finding a well paying job. This Rosh Hashanah and Yom KIPPUR HUG YOUR FAMILIES. May G-d grant us health and happiness. Without both what are we but miserable. Do not lose any friends over this election. A true friend is extremely difficult to find. Rabbi Dr. Bernhard Rosenberg
