Haredim Allegedly Hurled Rocks at Arabs Violating the Sabbath

Sunday, January 26th, 2014

Dozens of Jerusalem Haredim allegedly hurled rocks on Friday night, after the Sabbath began, at Arab vehicles on Route 1 that bypasses Mea Shearim, according to the Bethlehem-based Ma’an News Agency.

The news agency claimed that the attacks “were racially-motivated assaults targeting Palestinians,” while police spokesman Mickey Rosenfeld said there had been no reports of complaints.

It could very well be that Haredim targeted the cars, and the drivers did not complain to the police.

In any case, it is doubtful the stacks were “racially” motivated. First of all, the all of the vehicles bore Israeli license plates, and there was no way to distinguish, especially from a distance at night, if the drivers were Jewish or Arab

Secondly, Haredim don’t care about the religion of a motorist driving by their area on the Sabbath.

One Arab told Ma’an that police arrived but did not interfere, which is also likely since some of the more violent Haredim like throwing rocks at them also, regardless of their religion and even if it is not the Sabbath.

Court Convicts Second Rock-Throwing Killer of Asher Palmer

Tuesday, December 31st, 2013

A military court has convicted the second of two Arabs who killed Asher Palmer and his two-your-sold son by throwing a huge rock at their vehicle near Kiryat Arba in 2011.

Last July, the court sentenced Waal al-Arjeh to a double life sentence plus 58 tears in jail for the murder, the first time military judges have recognized rocks as murder weapons. Ali Sa’ada, convicted on Monday for the same crime, now faces a similar sentence.

Both terrorists smashed Palmer’s windshield. Palmer, who was hit in the head by the rock, lost control of his car and overturned. Israeli insisted that Palmer and his son died in a traffic accident and did not tie the deaths with  rock-throwing until the publication of photographs that clearly showed a bloodstained rock, the size of a cinder block or small boulder, and a hole in the car’s windshield.

The attorney for Michael Palmer, Asher’s father, said that al Arjeh, who worked for the  Palestinian Authority security force, was the ringleader of a terrorist cell that attacked Jewish motorists several times.

Tuesday, December 3rd, 2013

Jerusalem police said Tuesday they have arrested five  Jerusalem boys, ages 14-17, for last week’s rock attack on a car, in which a two-year-old girl was seriously injured. Four of the boys confessed and said they attacks passing cars because they “hate Jews.”

Four other youth who had been arrested have been released after police concluded they were not involved in the incident, which occurred in the mostly Jewish neighborhood of Armon HaNatziv, adjacent to an Arab neighborhood in southeastern Jerusalem.

The victim of the attack, Abigail Ben Zion, is recovering from head injuries from the rock, described as being very large.

Several rock-throwing attacks have resulted in serious accidents and sometimes in death, and Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat told Channel 2 television that authorities should understand that rocks are weapons.

PA Terrorists Widen Their Targets, Aim for Arabs and Jews

Wednesday, November 20th, 2013

Palestinian Authority terrorists threw rocks and a firebomb at Jewish motorists in at least two locations in Judea and Samaria Tuesday, but they also widened their activities to include a PA official, whose empty car was riddled with bullets.

Abu Zaida, a senior official for Mahmoud Abbas’ Fatah movement, said that shortly after he parked his car and left it, gunmen shot sprayed it with gunfire, leaving approximately 20 holes in the car.

Attacks on Jews continued unabated and unreported by most media. Cars driven by Jews were damaged by rocks in the Binyamin region of Samaria, while a firebomb was hurled at a Jewish vehicle on Highway 60 between Gush Etzion and Jerusalem.
