Israeli 100 Shekel bills

Ninety million shekels in Qatari funding was transferred to Gaza on Thursday in accordance with an agreement worked out between Israel, Egypt and United Nations negotiators.

Gaza civil service workers will receive their August salaries on Friday from the funds that were transferred, according to a report published on the Hebrew-language Ynet site.

Likewise, Gaza civil service salaries – but not those of the “security services” – are soon to be paid as well, for the months of September and October, according to the agreement.

The agreement is contingent upon continued “calm” at the border.
