Rockets intercepted over Yafo. Nov. 12, 2019.

Islamic Jihad began targeting the Tel Aviv region on Tuesday morning, following the targeted assassination of terrorist leader Baha Abu al-Ata in Gaza.

Earlier in the morning, the IDF Home Command, released an unusual statement cancelling not just school in Tel Aviv, but also work.


At 7:59 AM, the rocket alerts went off in the Tel Aviv Yafo and Rishon LeTzion areas, and residents report Iron interceptions over Yafo.

Islamic Jihad has declared war against Israel, and threatened to escalate their attacks later in the day, following the funeral of the terrorist.

Islamic Jihad commander Baha Abu al-Ata normally surrounded himself with children as human shields. The IDF killed him overnight when he was alone with wife, using a precision missile at their location, which was also as a missile launch site against Israel.
