IRGC Commander of the Quds Force Weapons Transfer Unit, Behnam Shahriyari, eliminated.

The IDF this weekend eliminated multiple Iranian financial and weaponry liaisons facilitating Tehran’s tentacles to Hamas in Gaza and the Palestinian Authority.

Both were key elements in transferring money and arms to the terrorist organization.

Quds Force ‘Palestine Corps’ Commander
Overnight Friday into Saturday, the IDF eliminated Saeed Izadi, commander of the Palestine Corps in the Quds Force and the coordinator between the Iranian regime and the Hamas terrorist organization.

Izadi was assassinated while in a hideout near Qom, in the heart of Iran, following a prolonged intelligence-gathering effort.

During a joint IDF and ISA (Shin Bet) operation at the underground command center discovered beneath the European Hospital in Khan Younis where Mohammed Sinwar was eliminated, IDF troops located documents clearly indicating that in recent months the leadership of Hamas’s military wing had maintained its ties Izadi, their patron in Iran.

“Saeed Izadi was one of the key figures involved in planning and executing the October 7 massacre. The blood of thousands of Israelis is on his hands,” IDF Chief of Staff LTG Eyal Zamir said following a situation assessment this weekend.

“He was the driving force behind the Iran-Hamas axis and a close confidant of [Yahya] Sinwar and [Mohammed] Deif. This is a tremendous intelligence and operational achievement by the IDF Intelligence Directorate and the IAF. His elimination marks a key point in the multi-front war and makes the entire Middle East a safer place,” Zamir said.

The documents revealed Saturday night showed correspondence between Mohammed Sinwar and Saeed Izadi that detailed two key projects:
1. The “Tufan 1” project under which Izadi attempted to facilitate the transfer of $21 million in weaponry to Hamas, and
2. Plans to advance the “Tufan 2” project under which Izadi intended to transfer weapons to Hamas valued at around $25 million.

“Due to the intensive efforts of the Southern Command, the Intelligence Directorate and the ISA, these two projects … did not come to fruition,” the IDF said, adding that Izadi’s death “constitutes a significant blow to the Iranian regime’s weapons supply and terror financing network.”

Quds Force Weapons Transfer Unit Commander
Overnight, IAF fighter jets, under precise guidance from the Intelligence Directorate, struck and eliminated Behnam Shahriyari, commander of the Quds Force’s Weapons Transfer Unit (Unit 190) in the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.

Shahriyari was eliminated in his vehicle while traveling in western Iran, more than 1,000 kilometers from the State of Israel.

As part of his duties, Shahriyari was responsible for all weapons transfers from the Iranian regime to its proxies across the Middle East and worked for years to arm various terrorist organizations as part of the Iranian regime’s plan to annihilate the State of Israel.

Shahriyari worked directly with the Hezbollah and Hamas terrorist organizations, alongside the Houthi terrorist regime and other organizations, supplying numerous missiles and rockets that were fired at Israel during the war.

In addition to leading weapons transfers, Shahriyari commanded the transfer of hundreds of millions of dollars annually to various terrorist organizations through his unique connections in Turkey and Lebanon, utilizing a network of shell companies, money changers, and couriers.

Shahriyari also led efforts to finance and arm the Iranian terror proxies, resulting in the deaths and injuries of multiple Israeli civilians and soldiers.

“His elimination represents a severe blow to the ability of the terrorist organizations surrounding the State of Israel to regroup and strengthen after being heavily damaged by the IDF during the war,” the IDF noted.

Hamas Military Wing Finance Director
The IDF and ISA also eliminated Ibrahim Abu Shumala, Director of Finance in the Hamas’ military wing this week (June 17) in central Gaza.

Shumala also served as aide to Hamas military wing deputy commander Marwan Issa prior to Issa’s elimination in March 2024, and was responsible for all the Hamas’ military wing’ finances in the Gaza Strip.

In his role, Shumala planned and oversaw the military wing’s budget during the war and implemented it by transferring and smuggling terrorist funding worth millions of dollars into the Gaza Strip for arms and distribution of salaries to Hamas operatives.
