A team from Poland will be arriving in Israel in the coming days to discuss with Israel how to amend their controversial Holocaust legislation so it is less offensive to the Jewish people and historical fact.

The law has created a deep rift in Israel-Poland relations.

The Polish law, in its current form was approved by Poland’s parliament and president, but Poland’s Justice Minister Zbigniew Ziobro said it won’t be implemented at this stage until Poland’s Constitutional Tribunal reviews it.

Since the law passed, public anti-Semitic statements by Poles have increased, including shocking statements from Poland’s Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki.
