Israeli Defense Forces exposed a cross-border attack tunnel on Tuesday in a video filmed in order to show the world what has been taking place beneath the surface in northern Israel.

The tunnel was dug by Hezbollah guerrilla forces and penetrated 80 feet deep beneath the border, stretching 130 feet into northern Israel, and was found to have a number of escape branches as well. It was about six feet wide, six feet tall, and wired with working electricity.

The IDF has begun a limited call up of reserve forces in preparation for potential retaliation by Hezbollah in response to the destruction of its cross-border tunnels, even though all Israeli military activity is taking place entirely within Israeli territory.
