According to Wiesenfeld, America has been defrauded, cheated by the deal made on its behalf by the current administration. It is such a bad deal, and now people realize they were completely hoodwinked by the repeated assurances and bald but false claims of accountability, transparency and efficacy.

‘IT’S AS IF WE HELPED TEACH THE NAZIS HOW TO MAKE THEIR V2 ROCKETS!

“This deal is a game changer. Iran cannot be trusted, but that is what this deal assumes. And to find out not only that Iran will have 24 days before inspectors can enter sites they want barred,” And then Wiesenfeld’s voice rises, “And the world’s powers are going to train Iran on how to maintain its sites secure from sabotage. It’s as if we helped teach the Nazis learn how to make their V2 rockets!”

Then Wiesenfeld explains how this deal has led to a change in how the political game will be played.

“All those people [legislators] sending out letters to their constituents about how they have to study this ‘complicated’ deal in all of its facets. I’ll tell you something. I read the document online in about two hours!

“They don’t need to study the document, they are waiting to hear from the vote counters – [Anthony] Blinken [Deputy Secretary of State] and [Valerie] Jarrett – whether there are enough votes to override the veto. If not, then they will vote to override, so that they can show their constituents how much they care about their concerns, while ensuring their party’s leader gets the results he wants. No! We want to hear from our elected representatives how they are going to vote before they learn whether there may be consequences from their party. Because there will be consequences from their voters. We’re telling them that now.”

And Wiesenfeld has more to say.

“We want to know whether our Jewish representatives and our non-Jewish representatives with Jewish constituents will understand that this is our civil rights fight, this is about our survival. They need to go to their colleagues and explain why it is so important for them to stand shoulder to shoulder on this fight,” he said.

Lauri Regan is a lawyer and has been involved in both grass roots activism and lobbying government leaders about foreign policy issues, especially national and international security.

“When the details of this deal with Iran began to come out, back in April, it was clear this was going to be a very bad deal,” Regan told the JewishPress.com. We decided to organize a massive rally to send a message to Congress, to make it clear that ‘no deal really is better than a bad deal,’ and those aren’t just words.”

Regan was adamant that this rally is about the national security of the United States of America. “Of course this deal is horrible for our allies, but we are focused on America.”

“This is like the 1938 Munich Agreement on steroids,” Regan continued. “This deal is being made with the world’s greatest sponsor of terrorism, and it was made while the Iranian leaders continued chanting, for all to see and hear, ‘Death to America.'”

Wiesenfeld was asked whether the rally still matters, whether the vote in Congress still matters, given that the United Nations Security Council already approved the deal on Monday.

“You bet it does. This deal has to be renegotiated. Congress can vote to continue the sanctions, and the U.S. is still a leading economic force in the world. American sanctions can still do severe damage to Iran, and the message must be sent that the U.S. will not sit back and allow Iran to dictate the terms,” Wiesenfeld said.
