IDF soldiers on Friday, Dec. 14 demolished the al-‘Amri refugee camp four-story building where the family of the terrorist Islam Yusuf Abu Hamid lived. Abu Hamid murdered Duvdevan combatant First Sergeant Ronen Lubarsky Hy’d by throwing a slab of marble on his head from the building on May 26, 2018.
However, according to a Freedom of Information request submitted by the National Union Party, the IDF has revealed on Sunday morning that since the beginning of 2015, the homes of only 16 terrorists who murdered Israelis have been demolished.
This figure is exceptionally low, given the fact that 77 Israelis were killed in terror attacks during that period.
The data show that apart from the 16 homes that were completely destroyed, in 18 homes a single floor was demolished, and in one home a floor was sealed off. Five apartments were demolished and another three were sealed. One room was demolished and another two were sealed. No complete homes were sealed off.
Altogether, 40 dwellings, mostly partial, were demolished or sealed off.
A number of violent riots erupted during the demolition on Friday, with dozens of Arabs throwing stones at the forces. The soldiers responded with means of dispersing demonstrations. There were no casualties.
