Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei

Iran’s Supreme Leader, the Ayatollah Ali Khamenei tweeted his concern for the Palestinian Authority and Gaza on Wednesday via his official Twitter account.

According to the Supreme Leader, the “entire Muslim world” should take responsibility for what he called “Palestine.” However, the Iranian leader offered no details on what kind of responsibility he was referring to, nor why he felt the need to register his concern at this time.

Iran is a strong ally of Syria’s President Bashar al-Assad, and a generous patron of the Lebanese Hezbollah terrorist organization, as well as the Gaza-based Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad terror groups. In addition, Iran has strengthened its diplomatic ties with North Korea as well.
