Medics rescue the dead and wounded on the steps of the Jerusalem synagogue where Arab terrorists murdered Should terrorists be allowed to receive social security benefits? Above: police at Har Nof synagogue after the slaughter of four Jews.

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu is backing a bill to be submitted by outgoing Communications Minister Gilad Erdan to cancel social security and other benefits for terrorists and “those who identify” with terrorism.

The Prime Minister already is getting flak from the United States for the “Jewish State bill,” which the U.S. State Dept. did not directly oppose but about which he noted to reporters on Monday, “We expect Israel to stick to its democratic principles.”

Indirectly reacting to the remark, Prime Minister Netanyahu said on Tuesday there is no contradiction between defining Israel as a Jewish state and a democratic state.

Israel is faced with Fifth Column terrorism, and the government recently re-instituted the policy of destroying terrorists’ homes, assuming the Supreme Court dos not get in the way by deciding that doing so would deprive terrorists of their basic rights”

The United States last week condemned the practice in Israel, but said it is perfectly okay for Egypt to destroy hundreds of homes of Arabs in Sinai to create buffer zone between Gaza and Egypt.

That is a matter of “self-defense,” said U.S. State Dept. spokeswoman Jen Psaki, as reported here.

Destroying a home of a terrorist in eastern Jerusalem is different, she explained, because it involves borders that the United States does not agree with.

We are waiting to see if the State Dept. wants to stick its nose deeper into Israel’s domestic polices, but it is worth nothing that a Democratic party Congresswoman from New York last month said he will introduce a bill to stop Social Security payments to former Nazis.

Rep. Carolyn Maloney said, “It’s deeply disturbing and I’m deeply disturbed that these individuals continue to receive Social Security benefits even after the Justice Department identified them as Nazi war criminals,” speaking with Business Insider.

“If you’re a Nazi war criminal, you’re a Nazi war criminal. You should not be receiving Social Security benefits. Period,” she added.

And what about terrorists?

“’ll look at cutting off benefits to terrorists that are deported,” she added.

  1. What ever Israel does she is condemned by the whole World. We are threatened by sanctions, promises to award the Palestinians a state without Israel being involved, withholding arms, being accused of being Nazis etc the list is endless. "Print and be damned" or let's go it alone because we are already alone. We either give it a real go at Hamas and others by whatever means and let the world do it's worst which is about what it is doing now. Yes, i'm aware of the consequences of overt action but we can do no right in the eyes of this world who don't give a feather or fig whether we live or die praying in our synagogues. Rememember Massada!!!!!

  2. Being a terrorist should be considered treason and these criminals should be dealt with accordingly. It's not about freedom of speach. It's about trying to organize to destroy a country. You commit treason and you lose all rights except the right to be put to death.

  3. As criminals, terrorists have rights, but not all the same rights of law-abiding citizens. Violent criminals belong behind bars, but if the police cannot take them alive, they still need to be removed from society….

  4. I see so America can try terrorist but Israel can't! Anyone out there explain this logic to me? I mean even the dumb UK chastises terrorists with imprisonment! Withdrawal of British passports same applies (new ruling) all over Europe. So why must Israel going providing welfare for terrorists families? Again where is the logic? Israel is a nation with a democracy and is obliged to protect the legitimate passport holders of her citizenry. Israel must defend her borders during times of attack and protect against suicide bombers i.e. the existing wall between the illegal area of Gaza. The West bank was a deliberate ruse for Arabs to keep one foot in Israel beyond the Golan Heights. Israel has been a legitimate nation since 1947/48. Israel is the only democracy in the middle east with a thriving economy despite the best efforts of those imposing boycotts. Israel has a functioning secular law not dominated by religious law which applies to all citizens including Arabs, Jews, Christians, Druze, Bedhoin etc. If people refuse to recognize the law and inflict what amounts to war on Israel (which incidentally is illegal since both Gaza and the West Bank are not nations). Precisely why Abbas wants to be considered a nation state so he can wage war under the aegis of the Geneva ruling. Europe is so thick and Obama is a covert Muslim neither party is aware of the serious consequences of recognizing both Gaza and West Bank as nations. Do these administrations think this will bring peace. This will indeed bring war and further more the entire med basin will be roped into WWIII. Terrorism must be recognized as a form of waging war without the guidelines of Geneva rules of engagement.
