Harf told reporters at the State Dept., “Clearly, a strong civil society is incredibly important – we press that issue all the time – and women’s rights, minority rights. These are issues we talk about consistently and constantly with the previous Egyptian government, the interim government now, and with the other parties and groups in Egypt that are power players and have a say in these issues.”

She implicitly admitted that the United States strikes out every time, but the folds in Foggy Bottom don’t understand that there is no such thing as making Islam safe for democracy and no such thing as making democracy safe for Islam.
