Chicago Police have opened a hate crime investigation after the plate glass window of the Chicago Loop Synagogue in downtown Chicago was shattered shortly after midnight on the Sabbath.

Black and white swastika stickers were plastered on the front doors of the synagogue as well.

The synagogue, founded nearly 90 years ago, is one of the city’s central synagogues.

No suspects are in custody, and no arrests have been made.
