Escape or Infiltration Attempt from Gaza?

Wednesday, August 6th, 2014

IDF soldiers fired in the air after spotting a group of Gaza Arabs approaching the security fence from the northern part of the region.

The soldiers fired after the Arabs ignored several warnings that were shouted at them, telling them to leave the area.

After the warning shots, the group retreated. The identity of the Arabs is unknown.

About two hours earlier, a Code Red incoming rocket alert siren was triggered in the Sha’ar Hanegev Regional Council district. Israeli officials subsequently announced the alert was a “false alarm.” Local sources insisted, however, that a rocket did land in an open field in the district.

Safe From Hamas, Italian Reporter Reveals Truth About Gaza

Wednesday, July 30th, 2014

Far from the camera’s eye, Gaza’s children are injured and sometimes even die, every time Hamas terrorists misfire a missile intended to kill other children in Israel.

But operatives quickly scramble into the scene and clear away the debris from the failed launch, before international cameras are able to snap a shot of the bloody mess.

Reporters are warned and sometimes roughed up. Photographers too. They understand the deal; they’ve been through this before and they know the rules of the region.

In Syria, dozens have died.

Italian journalist Gabriele Barbati, however, swallowed his fear and waited for the opportunity to tell the truth. When he left Gaza, he took his morals along with him and posted that truth in a tweet on the Twitter social networking site.

Out of #Gaza far from #Hamas retaliation: misfired rocket killed children yday in Shati. Witness: militants rushed and cleared debris

The reference is to an alleged attack on the Al-Shati “refugee camp” and the Al-Shifa hospital in Gaza, both of which were blamed on Israel. An Iranian-made long-range Fajr rocket misfired upon launch at the Al-Shifa hospital, killing and injuring numerous civilians shortly after 5pm on July 28, including many children.

Within 30 hours, 2,395 people had re-tweeted his post and 703 had marked it a ‘favorite.’

“Thank you for telling the world the truth – please continue!” responded one person. “Tx. For truth. The NBC News reporter claimed footage of an Israeli drone attack,” wrote another.

A writer named “Ahmed” responded, “Ohhhh, children killers… you are trying your best to fabricate stories and create imaginary evidences!” Similarly, another asked “how much idf (sic) paid you to “report” this?”

Another, tagged ‘TerrorTunnel’ wrote back, ‘this sounds incredibly biased…hopefully you can provide evidence instead of tweeting to [the IDF spokesperson]”

A more cautious writer warned, “Please stay safe! Hamas isn’t confined to Gaza. & thank you for reporting the truth, you are a very brave individual.”

That last is a good point. Hamas has ‘offices’ around the world, as does the Lebanon-based Hezbollah terrorist organization, which are used for fund raising as well as various other purposes. Just as Hezbollah has taught Hamas new ways of waging war against Israel, so too it is becoming obvious that Hamas may also learn from the Shi’ite terror group how to carry out attacks abroad.

20 Dead in Attack on UNRWA School, Source of Fire Unknown

Wednesday, July 30th, 2014

At least 20 are dead after a United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) school was hit by tank fire in Jabalya, still referred to by the United Nations as a ‘refugee camp.’

The school has been serving as a humanitarian shelter for displaced Gazans forced to leave their homes for their own safety when the IDF attacks military targets planted by Hamas in residential areas. Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad terrorists maintain an open policy of using families and friends as human shields in active combat against the IDF.

The incident occurred just hours after inspectors discovered another weapons cache at an UNRWA school in the region for the third time in two weeks. UNRWA officials asked a munitions exporter to remove the rockets at the site and ‘make the school safe,’ according to spokesman Chris Gunness, who said the fighting in the region made it impossible for munitions experts to access the site. Gunness condemned those who risk civilian lives by placing rockets at a school run by the international aid organization, noting its facilities are intended to be neutral and not involved in the fighting.

“We condemn the group or groups who endangered civilians by placing these munitions in our school,” Gunness wrote in a statement. “This is yet another flagrant violation of the neutrality of our premises. We call on all the warring parties to respect the inviolability of UN property.”

But he did not hold Hamas – the ruling government in Gaza – responsible for the incident, nor did he mention where UNRWA had sent the missiles, now for the third time.

Officials have been unable to clarify details about the incident at the UNRWA school in northern Gaza due to the fierce fighting taking place in the area. The IDF has not been able to confirm the claim by Gaza medical workers that Israeli tank fire was responsible for the shelling, and the incident remains under investigation.

More than once, Israel has been blamed for artillery fire on a Gaza target, only for the matter later to be clarified that the true source of the fire was a local terrorist group.
