Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Hosseini Khamenei

“The Americans sought their inclusion in the JCPOA, claiming that otherwise they could not face criticism from Arab countries in the region. When they said that they could not lift the sanctions altogether, we told them explicitly that in that case there is no agreement.

“We told them that the national security issues are non-negotiable and that we will not accept an agreement which continues the embargo on weapons and the sanctions on missile development.

“In the end, the Americans said, ‘We will put the issue of the embargo and the missiles in the UN Security Council Resolution separate from the agreement.’”

In the same interview, Araghchi was asked whether Iran could refrain from carrying out UNSCR 2231; he replied: “Yes we can; just as we refrained from complying with UN Security Council resolutions, we can do so with regards to 2231.”

  1. GOOD NEWS!! IF THINGS ARE RE-OPENED THE U S SHOULD ASK IRAN IN EXCHANGE FOR ALL SANCTIONS LIFTED IMMEDIATELY….1) RELEASE ALL AMERICAN AND FOREIGN HOSTAGES OR ANY ONE ELSE IRAN HAS IMPRISONED FOR POLITICAL CRIMES..2) RECOGNIZE ISRAEL AND STOP THE THREATS 3) GUARANTEE FREE ELECTIONS WHEN DUE …4) CEASE MEDDLING IN THE MIDDLE EAST…CONTROL HEZBOLLAH AND HAMAS
AND KEEP THEM WHERE THEY ARE
    I'M DREAMING!!

  2. I agree with Herman Rosen, that since Iran states that they will not comply with the terms of the deal that was signed, unless new terms are included namely lifting of all sanctions, that constitutes anticipatory breach of contract. The deal is dead, legally. Either Iran agrees to a new set of conditions, which should require that it immediately cease sponsoring terrorist group such as Hamas and Hezbollah, and recognize Israel as a Jewish state, stop threatening it with extinction, stop threats against the US. Any breach of those terms will constitute breach of the agreement.

The fact is, that Iran has no intention of honoring any of its committments. I do not fathom how the US could sign a deal with Iran without insisting that American hostages be released as a precondition of negotiating. Iran sees the US as a stupid pushover. Obama has disgraced America in the eyes of the world.

  3. The truth is that the Iranians don't have to demand any more concessions… they can do whatever they want as they alone will monitor their own progress. What is being done here by a public demand for more concessions is a face-shaming and humiliation of the US president and America, to show the world that Obama has no guts and no control over this "deal"… whatever it is. It is pure theater.

  4. Very scary the Iranian's could very very easily have a nuclear Bomb within a year or less, it's to great a risk for Israel they must use nuclear weapon's & annihilate all of Iran, if not it WILL BE THE END OF iSRAEL, NEVER FORGET THOSE WORD'S iSRAEL'S SECURITY IS NONEGOTIABLE!!!!

  5. Outward declaration of non compliance. This should be a warning not forgotten. Israel must attack iranian facilities again as soon as they know they are producing. Its called pre emtive strike and the legality of the strike is in the declaration of non compliance.
