Firebomb Photos Latest ‘Rage’ Among Arab Terrorists

Thursday, December 10th, 2015

The latest “rage” among budding Arab terrorists involves shooting — from a camera, that is.

The firebomb (Molotov cocktail) is photographed just prior to being hurled at Israelis traveling on the roads.

The photo is then uploaded to Arab social media sites on the Internet.

Late Tuesday night Israelis came under firebomb attack on Loop 45, near Atarot, but no injuries were reported. Sure enough, shortly after the attack, alleged photos of the bottles used in the attack appeared in Arabic-language social media, which claimed the bottles were just “thrown away” after being photographed.

Earlier in the evening, photos appeared on the Internet of firebombs that were hurled at Israelis who were attacked on Highway 443.

New ‘Riot Kits’ Help Protect Soldiers and Police from Terrorists

Friday, November 27th, 2015

The government has bought more than 1,000 new riot-protection kits to help soldiers and police deal with terrorists armed with different kinds of weapons,. Israel Defense reported.

Lior Textile Company designed the modular kits. They were tested for several months and have been approved by a laboratory in Europe, where standards are very high. Security personnel now are using the kits in “live tests.”

Israel Defense reported:

One of the options offered by the modular design of the kit is the option of using it in different combat situations, as it may be adapted and used in conjunction with bullet and knife proof protective vests supplied by the same company.

The kit includes all of the protective elements for all parts of the user’s body, as well as purpose-designed flame-resistant coveralls (providing protection against Molotov cocktails) made from Nomex fabric by DuPont.

IDF Expects Terror to Continue for ‘Weeks to Come’

Wednesday, October 28th, 2015

The IDF expects the current wave of terrorist attacks, including rock-throwing and firebombings, to continue “in the coming weeks.” In a letter obtained by The JewishPress.com and sent by a brigade commander to residents under his command in Judea and Samaria, he wrote:

The challenge we face is not a short-term issue and from what I know, it will continue in the coming weeks with the understanding that there are many factors that influence the security situation.

The IDF, Border Police, police and Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) and civilian security forces continue to work night and day to return to residents a sense of security. The army has significantly beefed up patrols and guard posts on Highway 60, the major artery linking northern Samaria with Gush Etzion, Kiryat Arba-Hebron and the southern Hebron Hills. The brigade commander also wrote:

I promise we will get through this period and, God willing, return security and the feeling of security.

However, government policy is another matter. Residents of Judea and Samaria have lived for years with the same cycle of calm and violence. The calm is maintained when a large number of soldiers patrol the highways. Then, the United States and European Union work on behalf of the Palestinian Authority and demand that Israel “boost the popularity” of Mahmoud Abbas and reduce the presence of soldiers,. The next step is another escalation of violence that gives Abbas another chance to complain that the IDF is interfering with the daily life of Arabs by patrolling the roads and setting up checkpoints.

Cabinet to Weigh Blocking Entitlements to Parents of Stone Throwing Minors

Thursday, September 24th, 2015

(JNi.media) Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Thursday will convene the Security Cabinet to approve his campaign against stone and Molotov cocktail throwers. The Prime Minister’s Office statement said that the program would include three main measures: changing the rules of engagement, the imposition of minimum sentences on stone and Molotov cocktail throwers, and the imposition of heavy fines on the parents of minors caught throwing stones and Molotov cocktails. Nonpayment of the fines will lead to the denial of social security benefits.

Regarding the vehement objections of Attorney General Yehuda Weinstein to the changes in the rules of engagement, which come down to employing police snipers to fire live bullets at rioters, the Prime Minister’s Office said that Netanyahu is determined to deliver his plan to the cabinet, followed by a speedy enactment into a law. The Prime Minister made it clear that he would not heed the AG’s ruling.

According to Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked, at this point, the responsibility for the safety of Israeli civilians against Arab rioters has fallen on the legislature. She said the Prosecution has already issued charges in anticipation of the new, stricter policy, adding that she saw no point in making the changes temporary, to deal only with the current crisis of violent riots in Jerusalem and elsewhere—she intends to submit a law with a three-year sunset.

According to Shaked, “If a child is caught and is under the age of criminal responsibility, the parents must deposit a collateral sum, guaranteeing that the minor not return to rioting for a year. The money would be returned in a year if the minor’s record remains unblemished. Otherwise, the money would be confiscated. There will be other financial penalties, all intended to force parents to take responsibility for their terrorist minors.

“The riots in Jerusalem are part of the wild anti-Semitic Incitement by the Palestinian Authority and Hamas,” Shaked said. “They literally spread blood libels and lies to serve their political ends. Until that does not stop, the riots won’t stop. But with heavy financial punishment in the neighborhoods we can reduce this phenomenon.”
