Atheist Charged with Murdering Three Muslims on Chapel Hill Campus

Wednesday, February 11th, 2015

North Carolina police have charged a self-described atheist with the murder of three Muslims on the Chapel Hill campus of the University of North Carolina on Tuesday.

The victims were a young couple, ages 23 and 21, and a 19-year-old youth. All three were shot in the head, allegedly by Craig Stephen Hicks, 46, who turned himself after the murders.

All three victims were described as well-liked people. The young couple married in December,

The brother of one of the victims wrote on Facebook, “We live as Muslims to die as Muslims. May Allah enter them to the highest of paradise.”

Social media users complained that media did not adequately report the murders.

Police have not stated if they know the motive behind the killings, but the alleged murderer’s Facebook page includes a posting stating, “People say nothing can solve the Middle East problem, not mediation, not arms, not financial aid. I say there is something. Atheism.”

Right-Wing UK Independence Party Backs Shechita Ban

Wednesday, February 4th, 2015

Britain’s right-wing UK Independence Party (UKIP) has voted to support a plan to outlaw the ritual slaughter of animals for meat without prior stunning. UKIP is the fourth largest British party in the European Parliament.

Britain’s RSPCA and the British Veterinary Association have called on the government to ban ritual slaughter. Prime Minister David Cameron has promised to allow exemptions for religious purposes such as the Jewish practice of “shechita” and the Muslim tradition of “halal.”

Both forbid stunning the animal before slaughter, which in Jewish law must be accomplished with a scrupulously sharpened blade and a single, rapid, surgical cut.

UKIP leader Nigel Farage, who reversed himself in the vote and backed the ban, has since been accused of driving Jews from Britain with the new policy, the Daily Mail reported.

British Jews are already considering their alternatives in the face of rising anti-Semitism at home and across Europe. Last summer alone there was a 400 percent increase in the number of anti-Semitic crimes committed in Britain.

“We respect religious groups to carry out slaughter in the UK according to how they define and read their scriptures. What we do not allow however is for the rights and demands of groups within those religion override the UK’s compassionate traditions of animal welfare.

“Animal and veterinary science has long concluded that cutting the throats of animals whilst they are fully conscious can cause significant distress and pain. We see no reason why religious groups should not take into account the concerns of animal welfare when carrying out slaughter,” the party said in its statement, calling the government’s protection of religious rights “weak, lazy and bordering on spineless.”

Agriculture spokesperson Stuart Agnew told Britain’s Jewish Chronicle newspaper he opposed the policy but was overruled. “This isn’t aimed at you – it’s aimed elsewhere – it’s aimed at others. You’ve been caught in the crossfire; collateral damage. You know what I mean.”

Both Agnew and Farage had previously vowed to oppose the ban.

Quiet on Temple Mount Helps Return Jordanian Ambassador to Israel

Tuesday, February 3rd, 2015

Jordan has returned its ambassador to Israel three months after recalling him to Amman because of Jewish activists on the Temple Mount, which promoted daily violence by Arabs.

International media tried to explain that a spree of grisly Arab terrorist attacks on Jews was a result of Muslim anger over Jews on the Temple Mount.

Mohammad al-Momani, the Jordanian government spokesman, told The New York Times that there has been a “significant improvement” in coordination with Israel for Muslims to pray at the Al Aqsa mosque on Fridays, the Muslim Sabbath, and with Muslim clerics for tourists and Jews to visit the holy site.

“We felt the message was heard loud and clear, and it is time for the ambassador to go back and to continue following Jordanian interests,” Momani told the newspaper.

The envoy, Walid Obeidat, arrived in Tel Aviv Monday night.

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu stated, “This is an important step that reflects the shared interests of Israel and Jordan and first among them, stability, security and peace.”

Daily violence on the Temple Mount three months ago was only the climax of years of anti-Israeli incitement at mosques and in media in the Arab world, including the Palestinian Authority.

Constant reports that Jewish civilians and soldiers “stormed” the Temple Mount, plotting to destroy the Al Aqsa mosque and build the Third Temple were destined to cause a volcanic eruption.

It burst approximately three months ago with Muslims rioting on a daily basis and making it virtually impossible for Jews to visit the Temple Mount, which police often closed off to Jews.

Attempts by Jews to pray at the holy site, forbidden by Muslim authorities, and visits by Knesset Members infuriated Muslims.

U.S. Secretary of State, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Jordan’s King Abdullah met in Amman in an unannounced meeting, which paved the way for a return to calm on the Temple Mount.

All of a sudden, two Cabinet ministers announced that Knesset Members should not visit the Temple Mount.

At the same time, Arab media stopped telling readers that Jews are “invading” the Temple Mount and digging tunnels to undermine the Al Aqsa mosque

Nothing was put in writing in Jordan, but it can be assumed that Netanyahu promised that Jews will not pray there.

As previously reported here and here, the Jordanian-Israeli peace treaty specifically provides for mutual respect for worship at the holy site.

As with most treaties between Israel and the Arab world, they simply are the basis for future arguments.

French President Tells Jews: ‘France is Your Homeland’

Wednesday, January 28th, 2015

French President Francois Hollande told Jews this week, “Your place is here; France is your country.”

“You, French people of the Jewish place, your place is here, in your home. France is your country,” French President Francois Hollande told French Jews in a speech to mark 70 years since the liberation of the Auschwitz Nazi death camps.

Hollande seemed intent on rebuffing remarks by Israeli prime minister Binyamin Netanyahu who told traumatized Jews after a series of horrifying terror attacks in Paris that the Jewish State and the Jewish People – their people – waited to welcome them home. Netanyahu told French Jews they were no longer trapped in Europe to suffer anti-Semitic attacks as they once were decades ago because Israel exists now, today.

“France is your homeland,” Hollande contended on Tuesday in his speech to Jews at the Shoah Memorial in Paris. He vowed to combat the “unbearable” rising anti-Semitism in France, which he said would protect “all its children and tolerate no insult, no outrage, no desecration.”

In the presence of five Holocaust survivors of the camps, Hollande asked rhetorically, “How in 2015 can we accept that we need armed soldiers to protect the Jewish of France?” He promised to continue protection at Jewish institutions such as synagogues, schools, community culture centers and businesses.

Yet a French soldier “protecting” one of those sites himself became a liability within just a few days: a burst of gunfire suddenly was heard as the soldier accidentally hit the trigger while playing with his assault rifle. Miraculously no one was hurt.

Anti-Semitic attacks in France doubled last year to nearly 1,000 incidents.

The series of attacks that sparked a four million-strong protest in France began Jan. 7 with a Paris bloodbath at the French satiric weekly magazine Charlie Hebdo, where 12 people were slaughtered and others wounded.

That launched a three-day series of terror attacks culminating in a hostage crisis and murder of four victims with others also wounded by a member of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) at the Hyper Cacher kosher grocery in Paris.

Three other attacks were carried out by the same terrorists, who included a team of two brothers who were members of Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP).

A fifth member of the cell surrendered earlier in that week of terror; a sixth fled the country just prior to the final siege. At least half a dozen others who collaborated in the attacks were at large but were being hunted down and detained.

Currently in France there are some 550,000 Jews, in contrast to more than six million Muslim immigrants. Last year some 7,000 Jews left France, more than twice as many as in 2013. It is expected that at least 10,000 will abandon the country in 2015 due to rising anti-Semitism.

‘Let’s Go Jew-Bashing’ Muslims Hauled into British Court

Monday, January 26th, 2015

A British court has heard testimony of a pre-mediated attack by four Muslim teenagers on a Jew in Gateshead and who was saved by a family friend who heard his screams.

The attackers were identified as Balawi Sultan, Kesa Malik, Hassanain Alimain and a 16-year-old, one of whom contradicted his gang member claims they simply were looking for a mosque. He admitted they were on the prowl to attack a Jew last July.

The gang wanted to protest about the conflict between Israel and Arabs and against a Jew in Gateshead, which hosts large Haredi population.

Sultan had sent a text message that “I’m going to go Jew-bashing. Haha,” the British Chronicle Live reported.

They randomly targeted a 41-year-old Jews who has been studying Torah at a yeshiva and was walking home to his family around midnight, when the gang spring from their van and jumped on him.

The victim, whose name was not published, fled in fear as the gang threw a piece of wood at him. He then tripped, giving the attackers the opportunity to surround him while the victim screamed. Help me. Help me.”

One of the gang threatened to kick his Jewish target in the head, and he drew back his foot just when a family friend of the victim intervened after hearing his screams.  The friend arrived while two members of the gang were kneeling on top of the victim while the other two watched.

“It was his intervention which caused the attack to come to an end,” the prosecutor told the court.

The victim told Newcastle Crown Court, according to Chronicle Live:

I feel shaken and unsafe to walk the streets in my own community. I have never experienced fear and terror like it and I have no doubt I was attacked for being Jewish

I was targeted because of my religion and I’m now scared to walk past members of the Asian community with whom otherwise I have no problem. When I come across a person from the Middle East I feel scared and petrified…..

I have been greatly affected by it and but for the intervention of my friend the consequences could have been far worse.

Now, coming home at night fills me with fear.

Prosecutors said that the gang targeted the man because he was wearing a black hat and suit, traditionally worn by Haredim.

The lawyer for one of the gang members, age 18, said he apologized for the attack and had brought shame on his family.

The attorney for the minor, who now is 17, said his client “understands this kind of behavior is utterly unacceptable” and added that “he was only 16 at the time.”

Sentencing will be handed down at a later date.

It remains to be seen if the judge will let them off the hook because one of them “apologized” and another said he really shouldn’t have done such a naughty thing as attacking a Jew, as if it has not become common practice in Europe today.

Arab Price Tag Attack against Al Quds Professor Who Went to Auschwitz

Friday, January 23rd, 2015

Arabs have handed out their own version of “price tag” attacks usually ascribed to Jews and destroyed a car belonging to an Al Quds University professor who led the first organized trip of Arabs to Auschwitz last year, for which he was banned from the university’s workers’ union.

Prof. Mohammed Dajani posted a picture on his Facebook page of his car after it was torched in Jerusalem.

He wrote, “Last night, my car was burned, and all I have to say is: Islam is my religion, and moderation is my doctrine and my way of life.”

First of all, it is nice to know there really are some moderate Muslims out there. They probably are a silent majority.

Secondly, the reason they are silent is because the radical, extremist, lunatic, barbarian and Satanic Islamists have struck fear into the hearts of their brethren no less than those in the West.

Dajani heads a movement that promotes Western concepts of moderation and democracy based on principles he understands from the Quran.

That is heresy in the bloody eyes of the extremists, who are doing a good job of convincing the world that Islam equals Terror.

Muslims Burn French Flag on the Temple Mount [video]

Saturday, January 17th, 2015

Hundreds of Israeli and Palestinian Authority Muslims used the sacred Temple Mount Friday to burn the French flag in protest of the Charles Hebdo satirical magazine caricature this week of the Prophet Mohammed.

The cartoon depicts him crying over the murders of 12 people at the magazine’s office and shows a banner proclaiming, “All is forgiven.”

While Muslims in Jerusalem protested by burning the French flagon the Temple Mount, their brethren in Asia, Africa and Europe set fire to churches and raided shops run by Christians in Niger, attacked police n Algiers and Jordan, and burned the French flag in Pakistan.

It no longer is the “occupation” and the “Zionist enemy” that are the targets of angry Muslims.

The burning of the French flag on the holy site of the Temple Mount, as a response to the attack on Charles Hebdo journalists, has exposed, once again, that a large number of Israeli and Palestinian Authority Muslims act in the name of religion and not for a Palestinian Authority state.

The protesters on Friday screamed:

Burn it burn it! ….. in the cause of God. Allah the greatest. Prophet Mohammed is our leader forever.

God. Allah. The Prophet Mohammed.

Everything is in the name of God, but President Barack Obama and his counterpart in France don’t see it that way.

The French government last week continued to placate Muslims. President Françoise Holland declared, that Muslims were “the first victims of fanaticism, fundamentalism and intolerance.”

French Prime Minister Manuel Valls had a  bit more common sense and said that France is  in “a war against terrorism, against jihadism, against radical Islam, against everything that is aimed at breaking fraternity, freedom, solidarity.”

That is more than President Barack Obama can admit.

He was careful not use the “M” word when he denounced the attacks in France and said:

The fact that this was an attack on journalists, attack on our free press, also underscores the degree to which these terrorists fear freedom of speech and freedom of the press.

But the one thing that I’m very confident about is that the values that we share with the French people, a belief — a universal belief in the freedom of expression, is something that can’t be silenced because of the senseless violence of the few.

White House  Press Secretary Josh Earnest explained that radical Islam was not mentioned because “these terrorists are individuals who would like to cloak themselves in the veil of a particular religion.”

Obama’s position suggests that if a Muslim kills anyone in a terrorist attack, he is not acting as a Muslim.

And does the president think that any Muslim who burns the French flag in the name of Allah is not acting as a Muslim?
