At least 65 people, mostly women and children, were killed and more than 300 injured as the terrorists targeted a children’s park in Pakistan’s most cosmopolitan city.

“Members of the Christian community who were celebrating Easter today were our prime target,” said a Taliban spokesman who called NBC News from the safety of an undisclosed location.

Islamic attacks on Christians during religious holidays is becoming routine, as the jihadists strike for maximum political impact. While Europe tries to find and break up jihadist networks after last week’s bombing in Brussels, the Pakistan murders are a reminder that the jihadists are killing even more people in Muslim-majority countries.  The victims are both Muslims and Christians.

Mass-casualty terrorism has become an almost daily occurrence, and there’s a danger that the world will become injured to it as a new normal. That is dangerous. A terror group that targets women and children without remorse won’t hesitate to kill tens of thousands, even millions, if it can acquire the means.

Say No To A Two-State Solution

The following are excerpts of a letter I sent to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. I think it may help if many people were to write similar letters.

Honorable Member of the Foreign Relations Committee,

I strongly oppose any form of a “two-state solution” within the very vulnerable borders of our sole democratic ally in the Middle East, the state of Israel.

Shortly after the Second Intifada broke out in 2000, my only son, studying in Israel, was kidnapped and murdered in cold blood by Islamic jihadists. His death was followed by the killing and wounding of thousands of innocent Israeli civilians.

We Americans support strengthening Israel’s military ability to defend its peace-loving citizens, who have extended pure drinking water, electricity, paved highways, and state of the art medical care to the country’s Arab population. In return, Israelis have been hit with wave after wave of missile and terror attacks.

Any proposal that would give Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas sovereignty over Judea and Samaria is a proposal that would put innocent civilians in the crosshairs of terrorist guns and missiles. Such a plan needs to be nipped in the bud.
