As reported earlier, Britain’s Community Security Trust stated that 5 percent more anti-Semitic incidents were reported in 2012 than in the previous year.
However, social media anti-Semitism soared more than six-fold, with 80 incidents reported in 2012, compared with only 12 in 2011.
“It’s a new area of law enforcement and it’s a hard balance to get right and when it crosses the line,” said Trust spokesman Dave Rich, quoted by International Business Times.
“People who made anti-Semitic comments in the pub, and it would go no further, now post on Twitter,” he added.
One Twitter account named “Jew in an oven”, with an offensive image, attracted more than 1,000 followers.
Another Tweet about Stamford Hill, home to a large orthodox Jewish community, stated that “Stamford Hill has this unbearable stench of jews man p*sses me off almost everytime. Ugly creatures.”
One wireless Internet network was named the ‘”Auschwitz fan club.”

This is so disgusting. I earned my doctorate in Britain in the early 1980's. Although there was a current of antisemitism then, what is happening today disgraces the entire UK. That one hears little or nothing from the Monarch, Parliament, or the Government about this trend, it would be nice if there were some people in power that would say that this hate is dangerous and out of place in a modern democracy.
I attribute most of this to the influence of the large number of hating Arabs that have found a home in Britain. The British people will come to rue the day that these people were allowed to settle in the country, if they have not already reached that point.
If people do not understand Islam, they will be unprepared for the violence that will come their way – Christians, as well.
I Don't think it has anything to do with islam or arabs. I think people are aware of the jewish agenda to encourage multiculturalism in Europe. Britain is going through a failing credibility, fumbling around for acceptance like the good old days, taking tight grips with oil-rich Arabs, making a show of acceptance to people whom they loath who are currently gaining prevalence globally all this at the expense of the Jews and sympathizers. The first time I heard about real life Jews was from my dad, who partnered with some chaps from Israel in printing. He told me that they were the best business partners, he did not have a bad thing to say about them. I was 13 then. I am now an adult with my own family. I am a Muslim and I am not an Arab. I am Somali. Forget about the problems in Somalia and accompany me on a brief journey of the psyche of the the Muslims who are not Arabs. First, I (and many others) know its wrong for Arab countries like Jordan, and the rest of the middle east to reject the palestinians. They have alot of empty land where they could house these chaps. This "conflict" with Jews and Israel has been cultivated in the Muslim psyche to conceal the failures of our leaders. They waste alot of money buying arms while their people languish in misery.
Second, we are tired. Enough of this. Israel is a fact. Make peace with it, give it space and let it be. Lets leave the religious issues to the Creator. After all, we shall all have our day and discover what is on the other side.
