The IDF spokesman responded to a query for News 0404 issue and did not deny that the Army maintains ties with B’Tselem: “The Army attaches great importance to the study of the truth and enforcing the law in relation to claims of violations of the law. In this context, when necessary, military prosecution officials conduct a professional dialogue with civilian entities and various organizations, including the organization B’Tselem. These relationships have in some cases included receiving assistance from those organizations advancing investigations which involves obtaining the cooperation of Palestinian witnesses.”
