Pure, unmitigated Jew-hatred and calculated incitement are at the heart of all this, but Rudoren utterly fails to call it out or even name it for what it is. Even as the very examples Rudoren adduces wholly belie the “desperation” she would ascribe to Palestinians and Arab-Israelis, generally, Rudoren continues to insinuate that the continuing butchery is fueled mainly by discriminatory economics- after all “…even as they benefit from Israel’s robust economy, many seethe as they pump gas or stock shelves for better-off Jewish peers.” The insistent white-washing of pogroms carried out by Palestinian and Israeli-Arabs as poor folk trying to get out from under is just obscene; it does not demonstrate a cool-headed even-handedness. Rather, such mealy mouthed rationalization of terror demonstrates a cold-hearted foolishness – and misplaced empathy that is certain to encourage further carnage.
