Smoke rises from Israeli agricultural fields near the Gaza Strip border, after being set on fire by a Molotov kite flown over by Palestinian Authority terrorists at the border fence, May 14, 2018.

A Molotov terror kite flown by Gaza operatives across Israel’s southern border landed in a large agricultural field belonging to Kibbutz Nahal Oz on Thursday afternoon, setting fire to crops that were almost ready for harvest.

Dozens of acres of farmland went up in flames, as local farmers and firefighters battled the blaze.

IDF technologists and engineers in the Gaza Division of the IDF’s Southern Command are working on ways to prevent the incendiary kites from reaching the fields or successfully setting them afire if they do.
