Prime Minister Netanyahu clashed with his coalition partners Kulanu and HaBayit HaYehudi at the Sunday cabinet meeting over a bill to prevent funding of political campaigns by NGOs. The original target of the bill is a pro-Labor, anti-Likud group called V-15, but both parties who object to it view this as an attempt by the largest party to starve its smaller competitors. Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked has vowed to block the bill, but Netanyahu threw all his political weight in favor, and so it appears that the bill will pass but will then be amended heavily in committee.
