RASG Hebrew Academy, located at 2400 Pine Tree Drive in Miami Beach, will hold a memorial for fallen IDF soldiers on Monday, April 15, at 6:30 p.m. The service will be led by students and take place in the school auditorium.

Rabbi Donald Bixon of Beth Israel Congregation, co-sponsor of the event, will speak. The ceremony will end with an inspirational flag raising followed by Maariv prayer services. A celebration including Israeli music and dancing will follow.

The evening will end with an amazing display of fireworks. The Community for Israel event is free of charge. Kosher Israeli food and drinks will be sold.

On Tuesday, April 16, Hebrew Academy students will continue the celebration of Yom Ha’Atzmaut beginning with davening in the auditorium at 9 a.m. followed by a flag raising with the entire student body and a parade to Miami Beach City Hall. Students and faculty will be adorned in festive t-shirts designed by sixth grade student Rummi Neuwirth and sponsored by WIZO.
