Secede? Because they are a cut above. A breed apart. And what makes them that way? Stubborn refusal to move onward, that’s what. Secede has the root of cede in it. Cede means to yield, to surrender – and that is exactly what it is.

So, away with all of you who proclaim, over the airwaves and the Internet, that salvation will come from secession. Nothing good will ever come from that choice – other than ridding our house of disloyal antagonists. Now there’s a thought.

They’ll never give up, you know, these minor-league Merlins with their magical solutions. So beware. For if at first they don’t secede, they’ll try and try again.
