This Thursday Evening (Dec. 4th) at Maariv we begin to request “v’sen tal u’matar l’vracha” in Mevarech Hashanim.   If one forgot he must repeat. This requirement is only for the first thirty days the time period it takes to develop a habitual fluency. See Kitzur Shulchan Aruch, Hilchos Tefilla, for all laws, as to which places in the Shemoneh Esreh one may, bedi’avad; post facto; as a last resort; include this request and not have to repeat the full Shemoneh Esreh.

The following chapters of Tehillim are being recited by many congregations and Yeshivos for our brothers and sisters in Eretz Yisrael: Chapter 83, 130, 142. – Y.K.
