Pinchas Menachem Pashwazman was murdered by terrorists because he was a Jew.
Only 23 years old, Pashwazman was hit in the chest by shrapnel when a rocket exploded in the yard of a building in Ashdod, close to where he tried to take shelter when the Red Alert incoming air raid siren activated, while on his way to synagogue.
Although Magen David Adom paramedics were summoned to the scene and gave him initial treatment, and CPR efforts continued at the hospital, doctors were forced to declare his death. Pashwazman is survived by his wife and their son.
“We share the sorrow of the family and send our condolences on behalf of the residents, and wish the wounded (from the other rocket attacks in the city -ed.) A speedy recovery,” said Ashdod Mayor Dr. Yechiel Lasry.
