Moshe smiled and confirmed his statement. He has, in effect, confirmed that what is needed today is a dynamic center-right-religious coalition that can make courageous decisions for Israel’s future.

Our prime minister recently established himself as a serious world leader when he declared, “Those in the international community who refuse to set red lines have no moral right to set red lines for Israel.”

We saw the effect of his words only last week, when President Obama warned Syria that the use of chemical weapons against civilians is a red line, the crossing of which will lead to serious consequences.

I wish a freilichin Chanukah to all of Israel, and may a new light shine on Zion and the world with the coming of Mashiach and the building of the Beis Hamikdash, quickly in our day.

One Response to “Does God Want A Center-Right Israeli Government?”

  1. The suspicion is that Bibi is trying to make a center-left government and leave the Bayit Hayehudi (to say nothing of Otzma L'Yisrael) out in the cold, intead courting Labor, Livni and Lapid. Feiglin won't like that.

It’s finally happened. New York Times public editor Margaret Sullivan reported on her blog that “many readers…wrote to object to an [April 2] article…on the breakdown in peace talks between Israel and the Palestinians,” claiming “[they] found the headline misleading and the article itself lacking in context.” Ms. Sullivan provided one such letter, quoted the […]

Boundless love was something Rav Kook had for the nation of Israel. Just as one cannot question the boundless love of Hashem for Israel, one cannot question the boundless love of a Torah giant for his people.

I hollered over and over again, waving a clinched fist toward the heavens.

This past Shabbos, as we read the weekly Torah portion of Bishalach, my son suddenly said to me, “Dad, I have a feeling Sharon is going to pass away today, because we just read his name in Az Yashir [the Song of the Sea] where it says ‘arik charbi.’ ”
