IDC Herzliya Campus A Day on Campus

To mark IDC Herzliya’s 20th anniversary, we spent a day following Prof. Uriel Reichman, IDC’s founder and president, and Jonathan Davis, VP for External Relations, around its delightful campus.

The Real Accomplishment

Netanyahu made an invaluable turnabout in the way Israel explains itself. We must complete that turnabout. We must not go half way.

True, 93 percent of the biblical sites in Israel are in the areas earmarked for the two-state solution. But what can we do? The place that gives meaning to our national existence, the focal point of our longing and our destiny, is also there. I speak of the Temple Mount in Jerusalem.

Netanyahu made an invaluable turnabout in the way Israel explains itself. We must complete that turnabout. We must not go half way.

This column was translated from the Hebrew version, which appeared in Makor Rishon.

The Israel Longhorn project is about Tikun Olam (repairing the world)- a Jewish project to create jobs in Israel, to end poverty around the world by helping Africa. This project will build understanding and partnerships between Israelis and the Jewish and Christian communities in the United States.

As the world struggles to feed more people, there is something that you can to help bring a vibrant and sustainable cattle industry to arid regions of Israel, the Middle East and Africa. For a small sustaining donation… in any amount… you can help with an historically important project to introduce Texas Longhorn Cattle to desert ranch lands that offers the potential to help sustain the environment and develop a native cattle industry that… over the years… can feed millions.

In the US, the wealth of our nation was built in part on the introduction of Longhorn Cattle into the arid lands of Texas. With the coming of the railroads, the Texas beef industry helped feed a nation. Now you can help build an important and sustainable food industry for the world’s future generations. Much like planting the seed from an apple… the LonghornProject.org is planting the seed of food self-reliance and self-sufficiency for people around the world. Please join us in making this vision a faster reality with your sustaining donation. This small step can mean so much to so many people.

Israel’s Temple Mount policy prefers to blames the Jews-not the attackers-for the crisis.

Keeping-Jerusalem

When Islam conquered the Holy Land, it made its capital in Ramle of all places, not in Jerusalem.

I joined the large crowd but this time it was more personal; my cousin Aryeh was one of the victims.

Terrorists aren’t driven by social, economic, or other grievances, rather by a fanatical worldview.

The phrase that the “Arabs are resorting to violence” is disgraceful and blames the victim.

Tuesday, Yom Shlishi, a doubly good day in the Torah, Esav’s hands tried to silence Yaakov’s voice.

Because of the disparate nature of the perpetrators, who are also relatively young, and given the lack of more traditional targets and the reverence Palestinians have for their homes, one now hears talk of Israel returning to a policy of destroying the houses of terrorists’ families.

In any event, the Constitution gives Congress what is popularly described as the “power of the purse” – that is, the power to raise revenues through taxation and to decide how the money should be sent.

It is difficult to write about such a holy person, for I fear I will not accurately portray his greatness…

There was much to learn from Judge Kramer and the examples he set remains a source of inspiration and a resource from which to learn. He was and remains a great role model.

You can’t say “Jewish French,” “Jewish British,” “Jewish Italian.” They are “French Jews,” “British Jews,” and “Italian Jews” – because they’re seen as Jews first and residents or citizens of their countries second.

Netanyahu has repeatedly accused the PA and Hamas of inciting violence against Israeli citizens.

“The Temple Mount could, like the Cave of the Patriarchs, become a place of tolerance and prayer.”

If Hamas is ISIS, the world asks, why didn’t Israel destroy it given justification and opportunity?

What is the solution? We must declare, and believe, that the Land of Israel is truly ours and once again build in Judea and Samaria.

During the First Lebanon War, the IDF forced the PLO terrorists all the way to the Beirut port and then to Tunisia. The PLO, which had lost its stronghold in Lebanon, was shattered. Salach Taamri, the most senior and admired terrorist captured by the IDF, was imprisoned in the Ansar detention camp. He was a broken man.

Soldiers at various hospitals complained that they experienced hostility from Arab hospital staff.

A murderous uprising is taking place in Israel; On the roads, In the mixed Jewish-Arab cities.

We did not win the war in Gaza because we are still captive to the concept of the 2 state solution.

Trapped in a false notion of power, America will lose the battle in the same way Israel now loses.
