Jew Without A Gun

Front-Page-020113

If you outlaw weapons, only the state and the outlaws will be armed. Which leaves ordinary citizens at the mercy of an all-powerful government and a variety of merciless criminal subcultures.

When Hitler and Stalin snatched power, one of their first moves was to outlaw private gun ownership. They understood that armed citizens are a mortal threat to totalitarian rule.

Imagine: several million European Jews owning firearms between 1938 and 1945.

Is the mind capable of such a leap of faith or is it too painful?

One week after the riots I legally purchased a pistol: a 1911 Springfield .45. It’s the pistol I trained with in Israel. Yes, it’s heavy, and yes, the recoil kicks like a Rockette; but this is the weapon I know best and on good days I can shoot the wings off a fly at twenty-five yards.

I cordially invite any mugger, rioter, criminal or Jew-hating Islamist to come at me or my family. Because now I am a Jew with a gun.

send this article to the NRA and they will send it all over the country good luck buddy and I am glad you made it home.

  2. As the daughter of survivors my antennae are on constant alert, looking for the warning signals that were tragically ignored by the kind people who refused to believe the horrors the unkind could inflict. Thank you for alerting us to to a powerful new danger.

  3. A chilling story that's tough for many of us who grew up liberal, never owned a gun and never wanted to. Time to wake up? Unless we are total pacifists on religious grounds (Quakers, etc)…..

  5. For evil to prevail we only not be prepared! God give us the wisdom to lead a balanced life.

Mr. Avrech What happened at the theater after you left? Were they overrun? Did they spend the night?

When Sarah Palin burst upon the national scene and the liberal media attempted to destroy her, I observed on my blog, Seraphic Secret, that she was being transformed into a hated Jew.

Each rhetorical bombardment against her was and is reminiscent of the Arab strategy to demonize Jews and Israel.

True genius is a rare commodity.

Five years ago, 26-year-old Moshe Hammer, z”l, a Lubavitch artist who frequently worked through the night, stepped outside for a walk in Los Angeles, to clear his head and recharge his creative batteries. As was his custom, Moshe rambled miles from his apartment in the Fairfax district.

There is no question in my mind that so-called anti-Zionism serves as a fig leaf for Jew-hatred.

There is no other explanation.

I know of no other country whose legitimacy is as relentlessly questioned and undermined as is Israel’s. You would think that those who espouse the love of human rights and rejection of violence and government oppression would attack, with proper fury, countries like Congo, Sudan, Jordan, Somalia, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Cuba, Libya, Dubai, Iran, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Venezuela, and of course the most repressive country on the planet, North Korea.
