Lapid: We Must Act Immediately. No Compromise Allowed!

We must rid our modern Israeli nation of the Medieval Hareidi plague that hangs like a millstone around our necks.

And we must move fast. We cannot wait.

We are faced with a demographic threat of epic proportions. The Hareidi community is reproducing at an unprecedented rate. The average Hareidi family has eight children, while the average secular family averages only about 1.75 children per family—way below replacement level.

The Total Fertility Rate (TFR) to maintain an existing population is 2.13 average children per family. This spells disaster for secular Israel.

We are disappearing, while the Hareidim are thriving.

Here is what we must do to immediately to reverse this trend:

  • We must squeeze the Hareidim financially in every way possible–child subsidies, housing, medical care, educational assistance, jobs. This will discourage them from having so many children.
  • We must arrest Hareidi Yeshiva boys and force them to undergo secular indoctrination in the feminized IDF. The Yeshiva boys will eventually join our secular mainstream.
  • We must continue the policy of forbidding anyone to take a job and make a living unless he provides proof of service in the IDF.
  • We must force Hareidi elementary schools to adopt a curriculum that includes a strong dose of indoctrination in our secular values. If they refuse to comply, we will create our own government-funded tuition-free “Hareidi” institutions to lure parents away from the non-compliant institutions.

Defense Minister Moshe “Boogie” Yaalon has strongly objected to these draconian measures in Cabinet meetings. Yaalon made it clear that the IDF can get along just fine without the Hareidim.

In fact, the IDF has petitioned the Supreme Court of Israel to go easy on the integration of the Hareidim into the military, because the special requirements to accommodate the Hareidim pose an expensive and difficult logistics problem for the military.

Integration of the Hareidim is made even more difficult, by the feminist drive for equal rights for women in the IDF.

To facilitate the career advancement of women officers, IDF feminists have become very aggressive in their demands for zero sexual harassment, which has doubled in2013.

They are also insisting on total gender integration of the combat forces, which directly contradicts the need to accommodate Hareidim who cannot accept gender integration, because of their sincerely-held religious principles.

It is a logistical nightmare for the IDF.

Member of Knesset Moshe Feiglin (Likud) has proposed the elimination of the universal draft and the transformation of the IDF to an all-volunteer army, like that of the United States. In an age of hi-tech drones and missiles, he says, there is no longer a need for massive ground forces.

The truth of the matter is that Yair Lapid and his secular extremist allies are the real “Free Riders.” They are the real “Parasites.”

“This land is mine, God gave this land to me.”

—Theme song of the popular movie “Exodus.”

It is only because of the gentile’s respect for the “Old Testament” that Israel was granted statehood and diplomatic support.

President Truman recognized the State of Israel minutes after it was announced by David Ben-Gurion, over the strong objections of his own Secretary of State Dean Acheson, only because of his respect for the Torah and the Biblical Jewish People

The American Evangelical Christian community supports the State of Israel and the three-and-a-half billion dollars in foreign aid that is sent there annually only because of their respect for the Torah and the Biblical Jewish People.

Without universal respect for the Torah and for the Biblical Jewish People, the Jewish nation would have become isolated militarily and diplomatically long ago.

And, yes…without the merit of the Hareidim, who study the Torah in Cheders, Yeshivos and Kollelim, who serve their Creator faithfully, at great cost, all over the length and breadth of the Holy Land of Israel, the Jewish nation would have been overrun long ago by its enemies in the surrounding hostile countries.

It is the Torah which protects the Jewish People in the Land of Israel (Yair Lapid included) from their enemies.

To quote from a recent speech by the famous philanthropist Shlomo Yehuda Rechnitz of Los Angeles:

“Maybe, just maybe, as some of our brothers in Israel move away from our tradition, become more liberal and more tolerant of taboo lifestyles, drifting away from Judaism, we can all agree that, in fact, there is not an ‘equal sharing of the burden.’ Rather, it’s the Kollel families who are carrying too much. It’s the Lomdei Torah who are protecting the country!”
