A phenomenon called “death by IDF” sometimes involves very emotional young adult Arabs who seek to end their days in a “blaze of glory and martyrdom” by attacking Israeli security forces, hoping to be shot and killed.
On Tuesday, a woman from the Palestinian Authority arrived at the Hebron security checkpoint leading to the Cave of the Patriarchs and pulled out a knife, threatening the Border Guard Police officers on duty.

The forces responded to the threat from the “terrorist” with pepper spray, and subdued the wannabe attacker.
She was taken into custody and transferred to security personnel for further questioning to determine what had prompted her to carry out the attack.
No one was injured in the incident.
